ALCOHOL SERIES: Oregon

Welcome to the NCAA Alcohol Series! One day, when I replace Mark Emmert as NCAA commissioner, I will mandate that every school only be allowed to sell one type of drink at games. These are the drinks for each Power 5 school. Reasoning for the choices are related to the school’s athletic program, the culture of the school, or really anything that I felt was fitting. Really like something? Really hate something? Hit us @theusofncaa on Twitter. Looking for your school? Every school’s article will be posted on the website and can also be found in the thread pinned to the top of our Twitter @theusofncaa . Enjoy and drink up!

In recent history Oregon has sniffed the top of the mountain in both basketball and football. They have a football national championship game appearance and a Final Four appearance in basketball. They've been wildly inconsistent in both sports with lots of good and lots of bad. They try to be super flashy, but never are that big thing. That's why Oregon's drinking Mike's Hard. Mike's Hard has been around for awhile. Sometimes they introduce a new flavor and they're on the rise. Sometimes something like White Claw comes around and makes it obsolete. Its success comes and goes. Also like Oregon it's not good enough to actually be a real beer, but it's still around. Honestly, Oregon fans, there is no better example of Oregon's Mike's Hardness than Saturday's loss to Auburn, and the Michael Dyer was down game. Never forget
