ALCOHOL SERIES: Oklahoma

Welcome to the NCAA Alcohol Series! One day, when I replace Mark Emmert as NCAA commissioner, I will mandate that every school only be allowed to sell one type of drink at games. These are the drinks for each Power 5 school. Reasoning for the choices are related to the school’s athletic program, the culture of the school, or really anything that I felt was fitting. Really like something? Really hate something? Hit us @theusofncaa on Twitter. Looking for your school? Every school’s article will be posted on the website and can also be found in the thread pinned to the top of our Twitter @theusofncaa . Enjoy and drink up!

Oklahoma athletics has had a lot of great athletes and top picks in the last 5 years. Heisman trophy winners Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray (both number 1 overall picks and Murray was a top 10 baseball pick too), Naismith Award winner Buddy Heild, top 5 draft pick Trae Young, Heisman finalist Dede Westbrook, the list goes on. Did any of those guys deliver a national title? No, but they did bring 3 College Football Playoff appearances, and a Final Four. So, since Oklahoma has had so many interesting individual players of late they get Dos Equis. That's right the most interesting man in the world.

Also Lincoln Riley and Lon Kruger, those are some pretty interesting coaches. Riley had one of the most meteoric rises in NCAA history, and Kruger has been successful just about everywhere he's been (it's a lot of places). Stay thirsty Sooners, and remember that individual awards aren't as important as the big one.
