ALCOHOL SERIES: Florida

Welcome to the NCAA Alcohol Series! One day, when I replace Mark Emmert as NCAA commissioner, I will mandate that every school only be allowed to sell one type of drink at games. These are the drinks for each Power 5 school. Reasoning for the choices are related to the school’s athletic program, the culture of the school, or really anything that I felt was fitting. Really like something? Really hate something? Hit us @theusofncaa on Twitter. Looking for your school? Every school’s article will be posted on the website and can also be found in the thread pinned to the top of our Twitter @theusofncaa . Enjoy and drink up!

Since Y2K Florida boasts one of the elite athletic programs in the country. The Gators have racked up 2 football national titles, 2 basketball national titles, and a baseball national title to go with a few other Olympic sport titles here and there. So an fans of an elite level program should be able to consume elite level alcohol at games, and that's what Gator fans will do. Florida will be serving Grey Goose shots at sporting events. However, in the past few years the Gators have not had this elite level of success on the hardwood or football field. The Grey Goose will also be good for forgetting say a home FCS loss, a home loss to Loyola-Chicago, a fake field goal bounce pass, tapping in a buzzer-beater for FSU, and other stuff like that. I'm sure none of those things will ever happen again, Gator fans, it's fine.

Can you imagine The Swamp on a September Saturday afternoon with Gator fans throwing back shots of Grey Goose? The heat plus Grey Goose combination might cause half the stadium to pass out, but will that stop them from purging their bodies with substances? Oh no it won't. Go say thank you to Tim Tebow, Joakim Noah, and Jonathan India, Florida fans, because of them you get to drink the good stuff. We can only hope no fans have sex with sharks in the stands.
