ALCOHOL SERIES: Arizona

Welcome to the NCAA Alcohol Series! One day, when I replace Mark Emmert as NCAA commissioner, I will mandate that every school only be allowed to sell one type of drink at games. These are the drinks for each Power 5 school. Reasoning for the choices are related to the school’s athletic program, the culture of the school, or really anything that I felt was fitting. Really like something? Really hate something? Hit us @theusofncaa on Twitter. Looking for your school? Every school’s article will be posted on the website and can also be found in the thread pinned to the top of our Twitter @theusofncaa . Enjoy and drink up!

If you're reading this you know that Arizona has had some NCAA and FBI trouble lately. Sean Miller is paying basketball players and getting away with it. Everyone knows you gave DeAndre Ayton 100k, Sean, we aren't idiots. So it is only fitting that Arizona is going to be drinking something that has had its own legal issues. Templeton Rye was sued in 2014 because they advertised their whiskey as being brewed in the small town of Templeton, Iowa. The reality is the whiskey was made in a factory in Indiana. Templeton Rye was lying through their teeth about where their "small town" whiskey was made, just like Sean Miller was lying through his teeth about his recruiting practices and bag dropping. Templeton Rye also calls itself "The Good Stuff." Sean Miller and company gave basketball players lots of the good stuff (dollar dollar bills y'all) to come to Arizona.

A school and a whiskey both skirting the law, seems like a match made in heaven.
